Hi, procrastinators!
So I finally did something I've been putting off for a while-I finished writing Chapter Seven of Fish Bowl and posted it on Wattpad. If you've been paying attention (and it's okay if you haven't, because I haven't either), you'll know that I haven't posted since July-July 19th, to be exact. *cringes* That's a long time. So why the delay?
I know I promised my readers no excuses for my absence (because, let's be honest-there are very few excuses for a four-month leave), but here are some contributing factors.
-The cruise. Shortly after I posted Chapter Six, I went on vacation. I'd been hoping to post Chapter Seven before I left, but, alas, it didn't work out.
-Marching band. The day after I returned for the cruise, I went to band camp. From there was a relentless sequence of rehearsals, performances, and competitions. It was hard to find time to write, especially with...
-3 AP courses. Did you know that taking three AP courses is difficult? Seems obvious, but now I realize that I was a little cocky coming into the school year. Despite my complaints about my schedule, I kind of assumed that I would get all A's with minimum to moderate effort like I always did. Um, no.
-Wrietr's block. Let's be honest, I got stuck more than a few times. And being stuck led to me moving on to write other things, like my NaNoWriMo project, which I now realize is doomed to fail.
-Laziness. Let's be honest, I'm just a lazy person. I don't feel like going into detail on this, but I think you get the idea.
For those of you who scrolled through those paragraphs looking for the point of this post, I like you. We would be friends in real life. Here's the link to Chapter Seven. http://w.tt/1vDTDFa
Until later, I've gotta sleep, because it's Thanksgiving break and I'm being thankful for no school by not doing homework.
