Hey, guys! Because I'm super busy this week (with our State marching competition...wish us luck! It's our first time going and we're super pumped!), I knew I wouldn't have time to write a Tip Tuesday. But because I didn't want to bail out on you guys again, I asked my fellow writer and close friend to do a guest post! I hope you like it, because I sure did. But I'll stop yammering. Without further ado, here's H!
What’s up, readers? If you don’t know already, I’m T’s awesome friend! You can call me… eh, just call me H until I think of something better to sign off as. Anyways, quick introduction about me before I get this show on the road: I love writing, I’m doing NaNoWriMo like my buddy here, and I should be working on PreCal and Spanish but am I? No, I am not. Also, last thing, because of how busy T is this week, she asked me to be a guest writer! How could I say no? So, lock in your seat belts, but on some helmets and protective gear, because this is gonna be one heck of a ride.
Really, it won’t be. I’m just here to give you guy’s a tip for Tip Tuesday. I thought long and hard about it after T asked me to be a guest writer. I would think in my head, “What’s one thing that you’re trying to stop in your own writing that you think would be beneficial for others?” That’s when it hit me upside the head, causing me to fall over (Seriously, I was pacing in my house instead of doing homework when I thought of this idea and the next thing, I tripped over my dog).
This happens to me often, I think of a great story, I have a plot, characters, and I know everything about it. It’s perfect. And then I start writing. I get a couple of pages in, and then I get bored of it. So what do I do? I save it and close the document thinking I’m going back to it. But I never do because I grew bored of it. I have written many stories since I was young, but I never got passed more than the intro. And I hated that, I wanted to stop that.
My goal is to finish a story one day, and currently, I am at 8000 words (this story is for NaNoWriMo and hopefully beyond). I am trying my best not to get bored of it. How? Well, here’s what I do to continue writing my story and not put it down.
Do you guys have any other tips? Do you want more? Ask me
I wish all of you the best of luck in trying to complete your story! Comment below on how many stories you’ve given up and then after that, go back and reread them. Or after commenting, go back to an old story and just write.
That’s all I have for today folks! Hopefully T will let me do this again because it was a lot of fun. See ya guys later! Peace out!

- I don’t think that far ahead. I know there as some of you who wants to plan out every little detail, but when you write the actual story, you have to write every little part, even the ones that you consider boring. Try not planning it this time and see how much farther you get because when you write it without any plans, you’ll surprise yourself.
- If you get bored of your story, put it down for a couple of days, then pick it back up and read it from the beginning. This will help to renew your interest in your story.
- Get someone else to read what you have. And if they have positive feedback, asking to read more, it will give you a huge incentive to keep going in your story.
- Set a goal for yourself. Say you will write this amount of words in this amount of time. Reach that goal, and then set a new one for yourself.
- Take time in the morning or at night right before you go to bed to just write your story. Set a time for 15 minutes even to do so.
- Daydream about your story, about where you want to go with it. Put yourself in your book, you will see how much it truly interests you.
- Write about something you actually write. If you hate horror, don’t write a horror story! If you love historical books, look up some facts, get interested in it.
